Just the beginning

I know Thanksgiving is over but I feel like saying this. I am so thankful for the life Jeremy and I have in Montana!! Of course We miss home and home will always be Athens, Tennessee but We love Hungry Horse too. We have been welcomed in by so many and are very happy. We have no idea how long We will be here Its all up to God and what he tells us to do next. No one knows what the future holds but as things fall into place here i can see God working in a mighty way here in Montana. One things for sure whether we stay here the rest of our lives or move on to another place We will forever remember Hungry Horse Montana and how such a little town changed our lives in such a big way. All thanks to the awesome God we serve. No matter where we are one things for sure We will serve God and We will never be alone.

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:20

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

I am also thankful  because of the bond that Jeremy and I  now have. Our marriage was great before dont get me wrong but now that We are here without family and at first without friends Our bond grew so much stronger. I always said Jeremy is my best friend but now its absolutely true He is who I go to when I have a problem or when I just need to talk. Everyone needs that one person that you can tell anything to and you know its safe, That one person that you can cry with and they understand even if you dont say a word. I have that with Jeremy because He is going through everything I am. And it has made us so much closer and strengthen our marriage and I am very thankful.

For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

Another relationship has gotten alot stronger as well  and that is my relationship with God. Some might say its not possible to have a relationship with God to where you talk to him as if your talking to a friend but I have that. I had that before I left TN. But now I truly feel that I trust God. Even though I dont always get the answers I want I now that God is always looking out for my best interest. Of course I knew all this before but leaving everything and coming here took alot of trust and God came through just like I knew he would and I can see him working in so many ways. I really believe coming here has helped us just as much as its helped Canyon Baptist and the people here. One thing I have learnt over the past 4 months is the mission never stops. Even if God calls us out of Hungry Horse or even out of Montana There will always be somewhere else in need of hearing God's Word. And Jeremy and I know that God has a big plan for our lives and I cant wait to see where He leads Because I really believe Hungry Horse is just the beginning.

Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

WOW!!!!

Sometimes  God can speak right through you before you know it!!!! And you know its him because what you say is more to yourself than anyone else.
Heres a great example Lately I have felt really discouraged by attendance especially on sunday nights. So this sunday night Instead of closing with a prayer we did things a little different and Lee encouraged us to say what we were thankful for. So we went around the room some said christian upbringing, some said there salvation, some said there gifts and one person said I am thankful for all of you who are here Often we stay too focused on who didnt come and I think we should be thankful for who did show up.  It was me!! I had just said that I didnt know whether to laugh or cry ha God spoke to me through me          I know I say this alot but im gonna say it again HOW AWESOME IS OUR GOD??!!!!!!

God finds ways to speak to us Are We listening??

Well lately with the holidays coming up I have been having a hard time missing family and having to deal with the fact that we will be spending our first Thanksgiving and Christmas apart. Well today I was cleaning our bedroom when I found a whole cd holder of cds in those cds i found one that simply said Morning Service 4-25-10 So I put it in the cd player and sat down and It was Derek McCosh preaching. The sermon was for me about Abraham Leaving his family to follow God. Abraham chose to follow God and showed remarkable faith. I am amazed at how God speaks to us We serve a Awesome God!!!! Jesus often times ask us to do outragous things. God is calling everyone of us! Are you listening??

Here are some notes I took from that Sermon
4 Faith Factors Sermon from 4-25-10
1. Our faith becomes a factor when we realize God calls us
The Lord said to Abraham leave your family and leave your country. Abraham was about 75 years old. Abraham chose to follow God and showed remarkable faith. Jesus is calling everyone of us, are we listening?
2.Our faith becomes a factor when we realize God has a plan to bless those who he calls.
6Promises God made to Abraham
1.will make you a great nation.
Abraham was 75 and didn’t even have a child yet but he believed God. It pays to believe God!
2. I will give you the land to you and your decendants forever.
3.I’ll bless you.
When you know God your blessed!!
4.I will make your name great.
5.You will be a blessing to those who bless you and a curse to those who curse you.
6. In you all the families of the earth will be blessed.
God had a plan for Abraham. God has a plan for you.
3. Our faith becomes a factor when we receive Gods Reassurance.
4. Our faith becomes a factor when we revere Gods soverinty and Worship him.

You cannot help but worship God when you are following him in faith. Abraham built a alter and worshipped God. When God called Abraham in genesis 15:6 Abraham believed in the Lord and The Lord accounted it for righteousness.

I am thankful for .........

To start i'd like to say thanks to God who created me! Who died on a cross for my sins although i'm so undeserving. Who has given me everything I have and made me who I am today. Who sent me to a town called Hungry Horse. Who gave me the courage to leave my family and everything I know and love. The God from whom all blessings flow!!! He is the reason for everything i'm about to list. He is everything to me He's more than a story, more than words on a page in history. Hes the air that I breathe and i am so thankful for him!!!
I am thankful for two christian parents. A mom who is my best friend and a Dad who thinks I hung the moon. Parents who would do anything for me but most important parents who enstilled Gods love in me. I was raised in church and always knew I was loved. I had a wonderful childhood all thanks to them.
I am thankful to have both sets of grandparents still today. But most importantly I am thankful that even when the time comes for them to go I know i will see them again because they are all believers.
I am thankful that Mamaw Harmon always loved us grandkids the same and goes out of her way to make sure we know there are no favorites. Who read us books even when I know she didnt want to and when we were learning to read she would say no you read it to me. I am thankful that she looked at me one night during revival and asked me if i wanted to be saved. I accepted christ that night and i still remember how she cried and I know it was because God had answered a prayer. I know she prayed constantly till all of us grandkids were saved. And for that i will always be grateful.
I am thankful for Papaw Harmon and even though he never says it I know he loves all us grandkids very much. I am thankful for the good christian man he is. I'll always remember him reciting poems and drinking a glass of mello yello. And how when mamaw was at work he let us do whatever we wanted. And how every morning you can find him reading his bible, and how worn his bible is and how much He loves Clear Springs Baptist Church.
I am thankful for Mamaw and Papaw Wilcox who also always made sure I knew about Jesus. Who hug you when you get to there house and hug you when you leave. And how they share my lve for animals and how we can talk for hours about our pets. They are a blessing and I am thankful for them.
I am thankful for Jeremy and how he loves me for who i am. I am thankful that God allowd me to find my soulmate at 19 years old. The way we can finish each others sentences and the way we can laugh at the silliest thing. I am thankful that after 3years of marriage we are still very much in love.
I am thankful for my cousin but most important friend Lacey and how she is always there when i need here. And even though were not as close anymore we know we can call each other anytime. She was there when no one else was and ill always be thankful.
I am thankful for my cousins Nathan, Zach, and Daniel. I am thankful that we always had each other to play with as children. I am thankful that even though were not as close now that were grown up we will always have each others backs because thats what family do.
I am thankful for all my aunts and uncles. Lisa who writes me letters weekly and always treated me like her own. Tracy who taught me to stand up for what i believe in and to stand up for myself because no one else is going to. Kathy who taught me if your food is not how you ordered it send it back and how to deal with Verizon. Randy W. who taught me to speak my mind. Sorry if i left anyone out.
I am thankful for My in laws. Larry and Judy have always been good to me and have done so much for Jeremy and I and no matter what I know they love us both very much.
I am thank for my brother and sister in law Joe and Tiff. As an only child i am thankful to finally have some to call a brother and sister even if i have to tag in law on the end. I know that no matter what they are only a phone call away.
I am thankful for Rob and Jeannie Sneed. Rob married us and did a great job he also counciled us before we got married and ill never forget the things he said. I am proud to call them family.
I am thankful for Bo and Amanda Coleman. Even though I was only there babysitter for a few months it taught me so much. And i am thankful that they trusted me with there girls. I never knew how attached i would get to them after such a short time but when i see pictures of how much they have grown since then it makes me want to cry. I think i fell in love with your girls the first time i kept them. They are precious and i pray for them daily.
I am thankful for Clear Spring Baptist Church the church I grew up in. The church that saw me grow up i am thankful for all the members who are like family to me. Clear Springs helped shape what kind of christian i am today and i am so thankful.
I am thankful for Oak Grove Baptist Church. Words cannot describe what it means to me. I am thankful that there at that church God got through to Jeremy which was a answered prayer for me that i had been praying for years. I love all the members they are like family to us. I am thankful that they help support us in Montana. I am thankful that they are behind us and our work here 100%. They will always be home to us.
I am thankful for Canyon Baptist Church and how they openly welcomed us in. I call it a priveledge to be there worship leaders. I love all the people here and am thankful for each of them.
I am thankful for Big J and Cameron they were our first friends here. I am thankful that they invited us to there daughters 2nd bday party even though we had just got here and we didnt really know each other yet. Since then we have got to know each other better and it is wonderful to have christian friends we can share time with who are on fire about Jesus like us.
I am thankful for lee and Joy. I cannot even begin to name all they have done for us. They are amazing people who love Jesus and are willing to go where he leads. Oh if only the world were full of people like them.
I am thankful for the church allowing us to live in the apartment attached to the church. It is a blessing.
I am thankful for Beyond Borders and the unity between the 3 churches.
I am thankful for Beverly who came to Hungry Horse to work for a few months we have made a great friendship and its gonna be hard to see her go home in december.
I am thankful for Buddie and Fran cummings who will be here in June to help wherever needed.
I am thankful for everyone who has offered to have us over for Thanksgiving.
I am thankful for the Beyond Borders Band and the work they do each week. They truly make a joyful noise to the Lord and you can tell there hearts are in it.
I am thankful for Joe and Lisa and the friendship we have. And how no matter what I know they will always be there for us.
I am thankful for Dl and Brenda and our friendship and how i know i can always call them no matter what.
I am thankful for michael and Brandy and our friendship even though we barely met them before we left i am thankful for what time we did get to spend with them. I will never forget what michael said our last sunday "This sunday is special its my first subday but thats not why its special its special because its Jeremy and Stephanies last " he said alot more but i was crying to hard to hear we then went up front and everyone came up and prayed for us and ill never forget that.
I am thankful for Bill and Jean and how excited they were when we announcced our call. One night bill even made the church get in a circle and hold hands and pray for us ill never forget that.
I am thankful for the Vaughns Donald, sheila, and Dusty how they treat us like family and are always there to talk if we need them.
I am thankful for Derek and Christy McCosh. Christy taught me to love everyone and always wear a smile and have a cheerful heart. Under Dereks preaching was when I first felt the call to come to Montana. I cannot write all the things i learned while he was my pastor. I am so thankful for him and how mission minded he is.
I am thankful for the life jeremy and i have in Montana. I am thankful God brought us here.
I am thankful for all the prayers, cards, and money from those back hone. It is all appreciated.
I am thankful for my Wal-Mart friends you know who you are. Even on the worst days you could always make me laugh. You are the reason it was so hard to quit.
If i left anyone out im very sorry.

Random stuff as of Lately

Well It has happened And I have been so careful I tried ever way to prevent it but.......I got a cold!!! What did you think I was gonna say??? haha Now Jeremys ear is bothering him and thats how mine started :/ Just head colds I guess the worst part is the headache I constantly have and the mucus in my throat. Today (Sunday) was so frustrating because we had picked out some of my favorite songs and i couldnt hit a note :/ Its one thing to mess up and hit the wrong note but its awful to try your hardest and cant hit any of them. O well my heart was in it so its still a joyful noise. On a better note The kids sung today only 2 were here but still they did so good :) Its great to see them get up and sing about Jesus. So tomorrow my stickers for my bass are coming in :) YAY!! I know its cheating but once I memorize the notes and everything the stickers will be history. Jeremy also got me a pink strap :) Have I mentioned lately that hes the greatest. He bought me a bunch of stuff out of the blue just because Of course he told me about all of it that same day because bless his heart He cant keep a secret.  We havent been up to much the last few days since We been sick. We have watched a bunch of movies since laying on the couch is all we feel like doing. Not much else going on just staying super busy but its worth it We are still very excited about our new lives. When we think we have got use to it We will have a quiet night where We actually have time to stop and look at the mountains and stars and then We look at each other and say "We live here"! Its still hard to believe sometimes that we packed up and took off. God has great plans for us and there is no doubt in my mind that coming to Canyon Baptist Church in Hungry Horse, Montana  to be worship leaders is just the beginning of it. Cant wait to see what other surprises God has up his sleeve :)

November 5th The first snow :)

Well it was suppose to snow yesterday and when it didnt Jeremy and I were so disappointed. Most of our friends here however were very happy. I think we are still in the mind set of Tennessee Where it hardly ever snows and you want it so bad and everyones so happy when it finally does because you know it will not last. Here the people are not excited because they know its gonna come and stay and stay and stay so they arent so excited. But when I looked out my window this morning and saw snow on the ground I couldnt help it. I was so excited like a little kid, and theres hardly any just a few white spots and barely snowing but  I was still excited. I love snow :) When I see snow I think of playing in it and having fun and I also think of sitting inside looking out the window watching it come down with a big hot cup of hot chocolate with the one you love Whats more romantic then that?? :)

Jeremy and I are not pretending or putting on a front  We are so happy here :) We love everything about it We have lots of people We can call friends and have adjusted well. We have had few bad days but LOTS of good days and that is the Power of Prayer no doubt about it :) We know that Satan is not happy about this and will try to cause problems anyway he can so keep those prayers coming We really need them . We appreciate everyone who takes a minute to mention us in prayer. We are living proof that God still answers prayers. Its hard to believe this quiet, bashful girl who had never sung in church until last year is now helping her husband as worship leaders of a church 2400 miles away from a place they both always called home. How is God wanting to use you?? Are you listening to him?? Think about it
