As most everyone knows we had family here this past week so we took the week off from working out and pretty much ate whatever we wanted. I gained about 2 pounds!! So Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (today) We have been on a fruit cleanse. We have eaten nothing, but fruit. When doing this you are not suppose to work out so we have not exercised. I have already lost 3 pounds. So the 2 I had gained are gone. We are about to go eat (actually food) for dinner later. I am excited to have gotten the weight back off, but I have been crazy hungry. Whenever I felt hungry I ate fruit, but man I have never felt so hungry in my life. I am so glad the fruit cleanse is over in a few hours. This next week it will be back to working out. From the beginning my goal weight has been 130 and I am only 2 pounds away!!! If I can do it I assure you anyone can. I have struggled with my weight most of my life. What is different this time is I prayed. No, I didnt say Lord Lord please make me thin or help me lose. I simple asked God to keep me motivated and on the right track. Thats why I was so successful this time. Our God is good!!!!

Memory Books
When life gets hard I want to be there for people and uplift them, but I am terrible at knowing what to say. One thing I have found that I like to do for others is memory books. What I do is buy a binder and sheet protectors. Then I announce to the friends and family of whoever i'm making it for and ask them to send pictures and write letters about how the person has impacted their lives or a funny story or memory they shared with the person. I have made two and both have been a huge success!! One was for a family who lost their son. So many people sent letters and pictures and I gave the book to his mother on her first Christmas without him. She later told me that the book has helped her realize that she is not alone in her pain because so many others miss him too. The other Memory book I made was for our Pastor and His wife when they resigned. Everyone had stories they shared and the book was a good reminder of all the memories we had shared with them. I love making the memory books because I don't have to find the words to say. Memory Books are my little ministry I guess you could say.
I have already started a picture album of just pictures of Montana, the ministries we are involved in, and our friends here. I struggled with whether to do this or not because I dont wanna sound conceded, but I really wanna make a memory book for Jeremy and I. We never want to forget one memory or funny story we shared. What I need is letters. You can write anything you want just a letter to us, or a funny story we shared. If you want to type it you can email it to me at stephaniehmalone@gmail.com. You can also hand write them and bring them to me at anytime. I know we will have a hard time adjusting when We get back to Tn. It will be so nice to be able to read your letters and stories during those hard times. You have time to think about it. You can but you do not have to bring me the letter ASAP just before July. Thanks in advance to everyone who participates I really appreciate it.
Also if your not from Montana and are reading this and want to share a memory or funny story we have shared. Feel free to send them to me. I can make a memory book for both or just one big one. Thanks.

Secure and Hopeful
Last night at Beyond Borders for Christ we had a baptism 10 were baptized!!!!! This is a HUGE praise!!!! We also had another accept Christ last night!!! We are so thankful for all God is doing at the school on Wednesday nights. The 3 and Under class enjoyed some outside time since it was so warm. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more the kids or Jackie and I. Our room is small and we had 10 so it was nice to be outside where they could run off some energy and squeal as loud as they wanted.
Nights like this at Beyond Borders for Christ make me wonder how in the world im gonna make it through leaving. Especially last night when I was rounding up all the kids for class and I left Alayah crying in the hall because I couldnt take her with me ( Mandi was there. Didnt want anyone to think I literally left her alone crying in the hall) We thought we came here to make a impact on other peoples lives, but its amazing the impact others have made in our lives. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to work here in Hungry Horse, Montana. Its was worth every struggle and every tear. Of course the happy moments outweigh those by far. We would have missed out on so many things if we hadnt listened to Gods call on our lives. My prayer is that I will be saying this same thing in a few years about moving back to TN. " If we had not moved back We would have missed out on all this" I know God has a plan and His plan is for our good. So even though our future is far from planned out and there are so many unknowns we put our trust in Him. Nothing can make you feel more secure and hopeful about your future than that.

Just a quick update
Just wanted to let everyone know there will be no Silly Saturday this week. We have family coming in from TN, and saturday we will be snowmobiling!!! So just wanted to give a heads up that I will be MIA for the week.
I am also so excited to tell you We had another saved last night at Beyond Borders for Christ!! That makes 12!!! So glad we can put our denominational differences aside and come together for the kids!! It is making a difference in so many lives, even on nights we think they aren't listening or when they are misbehaving. As I stood last night in praise and worship and sang as I swayed back and worth with a toddler in my arms, I thought I have been so blessed to be apart of this. The moment was perfect and as I turned to see if the little girl had fallen asleep because she was being so quiet and still with her head laid on my shoulder. I looked at her innocent face and realized she was picking her nose!!!! HaHa Gotta love 3 year olds. I said Yuck, Don't pick your nose ( as I smiled) and she responded Im picking my nose! I said I know that would you stop, and so she did. The moment was gone, but I am thankful for the overwhelming feeling of gratitude it gave me. God sure knew what He was doing when He sent Jeremy and I to Hungry Horse, Montana. <3

Redemption is Winning!
Have I told you lately that God NEVER fails!!!! In the past month We have had 11 children saved at Beyond Borders for Christ!!!! We workers are on cloud nine. Not sure why you get a shocked feeling when you hear this because after all we know our God can do anything, right? Anyway We have all got a little rejuvenated from this. We all have that extra pep in our step again. Deep down we know what we are doing is worth while even when we arent seeing many results, but to finally see kids accepting Christ is so rewarding!! Sunday Lee (our pastor) announced about the 11. Then later during out meet and greet time Jeremy left and came back with some music. Then when the music part of worship was over He said I wasnt planning on doing this but I feel like im suppose to. He sang Worn by Tenth Avenue North. It couldnt have summed up the feeling all us workers at Beyond Borders feel from time to time, but finally a break through and we are seeing Redemption win!!

Some may think this makes Me sooooo happy, and I am. I am also extremely sad because things will never be the same. Yes, we will come back for visits, but it will never feel the same. I am also so nervous/excited about the move, and our future. There is so much hope in the unknown. This Chapter of our lives has been amazing, and a book always gets better the deeper you get into it. So I cannot wait to see what God has in store for us in Tennessee.
James 4:3
Hi Sweetheart,
Sorry Momma has not written in awhile. Things have been so busy and hectic, but I have thought of you often. The move is only 114 days away and will be here before you know it. Daddy and I have decided to stop trying since the move will be very stressful and emotional on us, and there will be no insurance for awhile. As soon as we get home and settled and daddy finds a job with insurance you will be top priority again. I love you so much and cannot wait to see a positive pregnancy test. I know God has a plan and His word says When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. James 4:3
Your Momma is asking for you, but I am doing it with a right heart now. I wanna teach you about Jesus and watch you grow. I know you will bring Daddy and I so much joy. Here is a little story I saw today on facebook it made Momma cry because I cannot wait to feel all these things for you. Even though it will be hard and a lifelong job I cannot wait. You are everything to me , even though we have never met.
I love you so much,
Momma

MOTHERHOOD
We are sitting at lunch one day when my daughter casually mentions that she and her husband are thinking of "starting a family." "We're taking a survey," she says half-joking. "Do you think I should have a baby?"
"It will change your life," I say, carefully keeping my tone neutral.
"I know," she says, "no more sleeping in on weekends, no more spontaneous vacations."
But that is not what I meant at all. I look at my daughter, trying to decide what to tell her. I want her to know what she will never learn in childbirth classes.
I want to tell her that the physical wounds of child bearing will heal, but becoming a mother will leave her with an emotional wound so raw that she will forever be vulnerable.
I consider warning her that she will never again read a newspaper without asking, "What if that had been MY child?" That every plane crash, every house fire will haunt her.
That when she sees pictures of starving children, she will wonder if anything could be worse than watching your child die.
I look at her carefully manicured nails and stylish suit and think that no matter how sophisticated she is, becoming a mother will reduce her to the primitive level of a bear protecting her cub. That an urgent call of "Mum!" will cause her to drop a soufflé or her best crystal without a moments hesitation.
I feel that I should warn her that no matter how many years she has invested in her career, she will be professionally derailed by motherhood. She might arrange for childcare, but one day she will be going into an important business meeting and she will think of her
baby's sweet smell. She will have to use every ounce of discipline to keep from running home, just to make sure her baby is all right.
I want my daughter to know that every day decisions will no longer be routine. That a five year old boy's desire to go to the men's room rather than the women's at McDonald's will become a major dilemma. That right there, in the midst of clattering trays and screaming
children, issues of independence and gender identity will be weighed against the prospect that a child molester may be lurking in that restroom.
However decisive she may be at the office, she will second-guess herself constantly as a mother.
Looking at my attractive daughter, I want to assure her that eventually she will shed the pounds of pregnancy, but she will never feel the same about herself.
That her life, now so important, will be of less value to her once she has a child. That she would give herself up in a moment to save her offspring, but will also begin to hope for more years, not to accomplish her own dreams, but to watch her child accomplish theirs.
I want her to know that a cesarean scar or shiny stretch marks will become badges of honor.
My daughter's relationship with her husband will change, but not in the way she thinks.
I wish she could understand how much more you can love a man who is careful to powder the baby or who never hesitates to play with his child.
I think she should know that she will fall in love with him again for reasons she would now find very unromantic.
I wish my daughter could sense the bond she will feel with women throughout history who have tried to stop war, prejudice and drunk driving.
I want to describe to my daughter the exhilaration of seeing your child learn to ride a bike.
I want to capture for her the belly laugh of a baby who is touching the soft fur of a dog or cat for the first time.
I want her to taste the joy that is so real it actually hurts.
My daughter's quizzical look makes me realize that tears have formed in my eyes. "You'll never regret it," I finally say. Then I reached across the table, squeezed my daughter's hand and offered a silent prayer for her, and for me, and for all the mere mortal women who stumble their way into this most wonderful of callings.
Please share this with a Mum that you know or all of your girlfriends who may someday be Mums. May you always have in your arms the one who is in your heart.

God is faithful in ALL things!
Ok We know and have seen countless times how faithful God is. I however feel so guilty sometimes praying certain things because I feel selfish, but we should be praying for ourselves as well as others. Obviously I pray for God to use me for His will, and to be a more loving caring person, a better christian, etc etc.. Recently we heard a speaker who said We have not because We dont ask. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. James 4:3 That struck a nerve with me and one thing I asked God to do was help me with my weight loss. No, I did not pray Lord make me thin or help me to keep losing weight. I asked Him to help me beat my food addiction, to give me self control, and to help me to enjoy exercise. I asked Him to help me not give up. I am a emotional eater, and being on the mission field and away from family I saw my weight sky rocket. Over the past 6 months I have worked hard, and am seeing results. I have no doubt its all because I asked for Gods help. Today I went to shop for me pants I started out a size 12 and they were way to big. Today I bought size 6!!! I was shocked and overwhelmed. God is so good!!! I ask God to help me keep the weight off as well as not fall back into my unhealthy lifestyle.
The point im trying to make is Don't feel guilty asking God for things. He wants us too. Just be careful not to ask for greedy selfish things. God hears our prayers and in His time will answer not always the way we want, but He will work all things out for our good. We have to trust Him after all He sees our future so He knows what We need and when we need it far better than we do.

Silly Saturday #5
Today I'll give you a little look into my weight loss journal. I started out back in August weighing 163. In August I gave up sweet tea, coke, and started drinking only water. I was in TN at the time ( for a visit) so giving up sweet tea was a huge deal. When I got back to Montana we started watching what we ate and cutting down portion sizes. We got a treadmill for Christmas ( we got it early though around the end of October) by Christmas I was down to 149. Thats 13 pounds if you dont wanna do the math!!! I was thrilled and in shock that I was actually doing this. I would exercise daily and mostly the rest was just portion control. I was walking at 3.0 miles per hour on the treadmill each day for one hour completing 3 miles. I watched Jeremy lose weight a lot faster, but He was running and I CANNOT run. I get so out of breath and dizzy. We always eat a good lunch and then Jeremy would eat fruit or something very light for dinner. I however was not ready to let go of dinner. I didnt eat a big dinner, but I ate more then something really light. So by January I was down to 139 which means in total I had lost 24 pounds!!!! I felt so much better about myself and was just so much happier. I had no idea at the time this was my plummet. I went back up to 142 and could not get back down. I watched Jeremy continue to lose weight ever week, and dont get me wrong we are not in a competition. We both have goals and my goal was 130 and I had gotten so close. I was more than frustrated, I was mad. It took a few weeks of feeling in a way sorry for myself when I realized that Jeremy had not lost 70 pounds by feeling sorry for himself. So I knew I had to change. When you first start running of course your out of breath and dizzy. So the running has begun and keep in mind im just starting. I run for about 6 miles per hour for two minutes. No matter what I at least do two minutes and yes by the time two minutes is over I am gasping for breath and my legs feel as though they are gonna fall off. I keep going I usually go down to 5 miles per hour for as long as I can and then 4.5 miles per hour. I do half a mile which takes about 6 minutes. Then I hop off and do some crunches, jumping jacks, push ups, and lift some weighs. Not gonna lie I have two little 3 pound weighs so don't think im in there lifting BIG weights haha. Then I jump back on the treadmill for the rest of that mile. So I now complete a mile in 12 minutes. Before when I was walking I would walk 5 miles in a hour and a half. I thought how can I not lose weigh walking 5 miles right? But I wasn't I have no doubt it was helping me to keep from gaining, but once I hit my plummet it was not helping me lose. I had to run and even though I only go a mile I am seeing more results. I started this Thursday and have already lost 3 pounds I am now 136. My goal weight has never been closer and I cannot wait to reach it, but I dont wanna stop. I know that once I get to a weight I am happy with I will have to continue to maintain so that I dont gain it back. I am up for the challenge. I have come this far and there is no going back from here.

No coincidence
Every had something happen only to later realize it was not a coincidence at all, but just part of Gods plan?? Well that is exactly what happened to me wednesday night at Beyond Borders for Christ. Diane who took my place as the 3 and under teacher was sick so she could not make it. So when I got to the school I asked another lady named Kristy to come help me. She said she would. We had 8 in our class 3 year olds and one 1 year old. So it was very hectic, but we managed the best we could. Kristys daughter was getting baptized at Beyond Borders that night. So I told her to go and I would be fine not to worry. Well the kids got crazy. They started saying things they shouldn't ( they are in the stage where poopy and butt are the funniest things to say) so I tried to get 3 boys to stop saying that meanwhile another boy and girl started hitting and pushing each other. Then the one year old fell out of a chair and was crying. I ran over and scooped her up and yelled ENOUGH to the others. I put chairs all spread apart against the walls and made them all sit in one. I then put my chair in the middle and said we are gonna have a talk. To my surprise all eyes were on me and it was silent. So I said You have been so disrespectful lately. You hit and push, you say things you know you should not say, you run down the halls, you wont listen to our stories, etc. I remembered alot more at the time.
I was the 3 and under teacher until recently and most nights it was just me. Ill admit to coming home and crying many wednesday nights, and I would pray Lord don't let them rememeber me as hateful and mean Ms Stephanie. I let alot of stuff slide, but eventually everything catches up with me. Thats what happen this wednesday. So as I talked to the kids and dont let me fool you I was MAD. I said I am moving this summer. I then asked if they could count to 16 (a few of them raised their hands and said they could) I said thats how many wednesdays I have left with you. I wont see you anymore. Ms Diane is your new teacher. I really wanted to make these last weeks the best. I wanted to do fun stuff with you all and make the most of the time we have, but we cant because you wont obey the rules. I guess their will be no snacks ( I dont mean dinner. We usually have a snack in our room too. I would never take away dinner I wanna make that clear) no treasure box, and no free time. So I said We can have all those things if you chose to make the most of our time together. Of course they all said we are gonna do better, We will be good.
Then I realized one little girl ( who I am always and I mean literally every week having to get on to about some thing) was crying. My first thought was she was pouting because she knew I was not happy with them and because I had made them all stop and sit down. I said her name and asked why she was crying and she sobbed as she stated Because when you move We wont see you anymore. Wow I cannot tell you how I didnt cry I almost did, but I quickly pulled myself together. I told her that we were gonna have the best time ever up until then and then Ms Diane would still have fun stuff for them to learn and do.It was very apparent that God had answered my prayer they don't think of me as hateful or mean at all. Right after I got done talking Kristy came back in.
I know God had it all planned out. Normally I would not have been alone with the kids so they would have never got that out of hand and I would have never got so mad. So it was no coincidence that Diane could not come that wednesday ( Don't get me wrong I am not glad she was sick, but God probably knew that was the only way to keep her from coming). It was no coincidence that Kristy had to leave the room for awhile to see her daughter baptized. I needed that moment with them. We had a special moment together so that God could show me that He heard every time I cried and every time I asked Him not to let them see me as just mean and hateful. Not sure why I am so amazed. I know we have a awesome God, but He continues to amaze me daily. I just wanted to share this and maybe it will open our eyes to little things we chalk up as coincidences each day maybe there not and were just too busy to see.

Cherished Treasures
My friend Jackie made this blanket for me out of shirts from the clothes closet. I help work the clothes closet with Jackie and Diane every second and fourth tuesday of the month. So that made the blanket meaningful enough, but the surprises did not stop there. Diane and Jackie helped each child in the 3 and under class at Beyond Borders for Christ put there handprints on the blanket, and everyone has been signing it. What a awesome surprise!!!!
Thats not all. Another friend Dana (Alayahs Grandma) made Jeremy and I a awesome blue jean blanket. Wow! Words cannot even explain how grateful I am, or how loved I feel. These blankets will always be cherished treasures. They may not mean much to anyone else, but they means EVERYTHING to me!!

Silly Saturday #4
As most of you know I started baby sitting Alayah Baldwin in May of 2012 She was 8 months old. Of course she stole mine and Jeremys heart from the very beginning. We loved her at that age, but we had no idea that things would only get better and alot funnier!!
Alayah is now 17 months and all over the place, and the funniest thing ever!! Her personality is the best. I practiced with her one day and by the end of the day if I said one she would say two three!! Then for weeks when she saw me she would say three over and over and smile so proudly! She has changed so much in the past nine months, and to show you just how much I took a picture of her back in may with a eeyore stuffed animal and here she is now with the same stuff animal.
The neat part is when we move I am gonna give the eeyore to her and that way Mandi can send me pictures of her with it. That way we can still watch her grow from a toddler to a little girl!!
We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to be a part of Alayahs life. Through all the ups and downs of ministry She has been the one thing we needed to help us smile and laugh. She has brightened up plenty of our dark days. We will miss her so much, but I did ask and Her Momma said No we cant take her with us. Aww Shucks!!! hahaha

Fun Fact Friday #1
I will not be doing one of these every week like Silly Saturdays, but you might see them occasionally
** Warning if your not a dog person you may want to skip this post**
Molly Katelyn Malone "Molly Kate"
This is our dog Molly that I also call Molly Kate alot too. Molly is a boxer beagle mix (Bogle). We rescued her from a animal shelter here in Montana. We adopted Molly on 11/11/11. Let me back track when we knew we were moving to Montana to be missionaries we had 3 dogs. One of our dogs that Jeremy surprised me with from a animal shelter in Tn was only 2 weeks old when We got her I had to bottle feed her. We named her Molly Katelyn and I always called her Molly Kate. We had 2 other dogs we were crazy about too. We had so many unknowns about Montana and knew We couldnt take them all, and as We tried to decide which one to take we became overwhelmed with the unknowns. Would We have a yard for them? Would We have enough money to feed them? Would we be home enough and have enough time with them? Would we still be able to give them a good life? When we couldn't answer yes to the last question we knew we had to find them good homes and so we did. It was heartbreaking, but it was what We had to do.Meanwhile our cat had kittens and We ended up keeping a kitten we name Journey because We were gonna bring her on our journey with us. So we got to Montana and we werent home a whole lot so we decided to get Journey a friend so we got another cat. The other cat was huge his name was Tally. Soon we began looking out at our nice fenced in backyard and we definitely regretted not bringing at least one of our dogs. I kept telling Jeremy all I wanted for Christmas was a puppy. So we discussed it and decided since the church was being gracious enough to let us live here we did not want to get a puppy after all this apartment is not ours and we did not want to deal with chewing and accidents in a place that wasnt our own. So we discussed getting a older dog. So we agreed and on 11/11/11 we head to Flathead Valley Animal Shelter. As We walked through and dogs were barking and jumping I said I dont want a barky dog they drive me crazy. I want a dog I feel safe with while Jeremy is gone. One that will bark when someone comes to the door. So we walked through once and didn't see any one that jumped out at us. So I told Jeremy lets walk through one more time. Deep in my heart I missed Molly Kate and I knew I had to let that go. So as We walked through again my eyes fell on a dog. Who was one of the few not barking. The dog in her cage with her was barking and jumping on the door and acting crazy, but not her she was still her tail was wagging and her eyes never left us. So I ask the lady who worked there if she would get that dog out for us. She said sure so as the dog came out of the cage and we started petting her and she was soaking up all the attention. I turned my focus to the paperwork attached to her pen after all I definitely didnt want a biter. I checked her bite history it said Never. Then I looked to see how she was with cats and other pets and it said good. So then I glance at the top of the paperwork and thats when I looked down at Jeremy who was getting lots of kisses and said Shes the one. He said ok but looked at my with questioning eyes like why are you so sure and thats when I said her names Molly.
So that was it we filled out paperwork and brought her home. From the moment we brought her home she has been great. She barks when someones at the door and her and our neighbors dog do occasionally get in fights through the fence, but other than that life was great. It wasnt long though before I was going crazy I could not keep pet hair cleaned up or litter out of the floor. After being gone most of the day from working and coming home to lots more work I decided I couldnt keep up. I was stressed and constantly frustrated. At home we had 3 dogs and 5 cats ( cats werent inside) and I could always keep the pet hair up, but I was also a stay at home wife. So we had a decision to make so on April 19th a nice couple came and took our cats. It was a hard decision to make, but in the end I think we made the right one. Now 10 months later I have no doubt We did the right thing because Journey barely made it through the trip to Montana and Tally would almost scream the whole time you had him in a car He hated car rides. So I know that we would have had to find them homes here anyway.
So The molly we had before was Molly Kate so from day one I have had the hardest time not saying Molly Kate to this dog too. So after months and months of trying to break myself from the habit I said forget it and gave this Molly the middle name Katelyn too.
In May(2012) we started babysitting Alayah. I was nervous at first because We had never had Molly around a baby. Turns out I had no reason to worry.
Molly and Alayah are the best of friends now. Although it didnt start out that way Im not sure if molly was around babies where she lived before, but im pretty sure she wasnt because she was terrified of Alayah when We first started keeping her. Now they chase each other all around the house and play together all day.
Molly has never chewed on anything besides her toys. She has only had 1 accident and thats our fault because I thought Jeremy took her out and He thought I took her out. Although I picked her she loves Jeremy way more, and if it wasnt for me feeding her she might not like me at all. We are very respectful we realize that just because we are animal people doesnt mean everyone is and so when people come to visit who arent dog people or when we go home to visit family we have a awesome lady who keeps Molly for us. Molly loves going to her house she is always excited to see us come back for her, but is excited to be dropped off too. She went to the vet a few months ago and weighed 63 pounds and the vet wants her to weigh 39 so we are working on her weight. She has made me feel so much safer when im home alone. She is a good dog and we are lucky we found her in the shelter that day. Molly will be making the trip back to TN with us. After all I can't lose another Molly Kate.
