Ok guys I know its early on but I wanna document it all. I want our child to know that they were wanted and loved long before we actually knew them. I am starting their lifebook.
Whats a lifebook???
Lifebooks are tools that can be useful in working with children in out-of-home care and children who have been adopted to record memories and life events that occurred prior to placement as well as when the children were in placement. Lifebooks can help children retain connections to people who have been important in their lives and may help the children integrate past experiences with their present circumstances in a healthy, constructive manner.
Obviously alot of the lifebook is about the child and there lives in their home country and how they came into their family, but I want to also show the fundraising, the waiting, and everyone that was excited, prayed, helped, had well wishes and so much more.
So this is the beginning Im challenging everyone who bought shirts to take a picture of you wearing your shirt and send baby Malone a message. Your message can be anything. You can tell how you felt when we first announced we were adopting, you can tell them about us, or anything you wanna say. It can be funny sentimental, heart felt, or anything you choose to say. Please particpate even if you didnt buy a shirt :) You can send them to my email stephaniehmalone@gmail.com or post them on instagram with the hash tag #teambabymalone my instagram user name is STEPHANIEHOPE1989.You can also post them to our facebook.
